Where can i find info on how to distill alchohl for personal use?
Hey Rebl,
In the US they don’t make the “kit” as was mentioned, that is why you see the “chemistry class” set-up that they had in M*A*S*H.
And the reason….
It’s illegal to make your own distilled alcohol in the US. It’s called bootlegging. It’s like growing your own pot. You can claim it is for personal use, but the Feds don’t care. They are afraid that you’ll start making your own and put Seagrams out of business.
Beer and Wine are not distilled, so make your little arms go like mad to make it yourself.
If you want to know how to make a still, plans are available on the INTERNET or as simple as going to your LOCAL LIBRARY. The still was considered one of the best inventions of the 19th century.
Good Luck,

How to become a tax prepaper?
Hey Sonia,
Like the last two said, H & R Block and Jackson Hewitt both offer classes, however, depending on the area, you may have to pay to attend the classes. Since you are in Las Vegas, and it’s growing so much, you WILL have to pay for the class. It’s not much, about $100.00 for the beginners class. The GOOD NEWS! If you get employed by them, they will refund the class fee and train you for the more advanced class.
It can be good money, but long hours. The classes will start about mid October. Stop by any of their offices and you will see a number for the class registration.
Good Luck,

are there jobs for 15 year olds in phoenix?
Hey Manny,
Yup! You’ll have to be in school or emancipated. If you are in school you’ll have to go to a counselor and get enrolled in Work Program. If you are emancipated, bring your paperwork with you when you apply. If Work Program, you’ll not be able to work more than your state allows (I think it’s 20 hours during the week) and you can’t work past 10pm. Weekends you’re allowed until 11:00pm.
Keep your grades up and work hard!
My first job was at 14 1/2 and I loved it! It’s good to have money that you don’t have to borrow from your parents!
Jobs Available:
Fast Food
Retail – includes, Home Improvement, Nursery (Plants, not kids), Furniture Stores, Retail (Look at the smaller places, like for stocking), Flyer distribution and don’t forget Sign Twirler (That money’s real good!)
Auto Parts (If you know about cars and trucks)
Some Delivery (Pizza, probably not. But Groceries, yes!)
Ask at the places that your folks and family shop at! They will be most willing to hire you because they know that you’ll want your family to be proud!
Good Luck,

Can you use EBT cards in states other than the issuing state? ie; IL issued, used in MI?
Hey Sheree,
LINK is a special program that Illinois has. It is just there in-state system where you can add credits by doing certain things within the state of Illinois.
Here in California, EBT has a VISA logo on it and you can use it at any place that accepts Visa. Ask her if it has a VISA logo on it (I am sure it doesn’t though….)
Go on-line for the State of Illinois and see if they have further information that she might use. I have listed the link below:

How do I get a low interest small business loan?
Hey Linn,
I would follow Sandi’s advice, but I would also like to add that there are many specialized loan programs (Female only, Minority, Job Retraining, Disability) that either your SBA or even your local bank will be aware of.
Keep in mind that most SBA loans are meant for doing good in the community, meaning that you will be employing local workers. Most SBA loans are not meant for personal enrichment – meaning that in your business plan, you must show how many local people you will be hiring.
OR
Go to your local library and ask for a research librarian. He/She will be able to show you programs that are available in your city.
Good Luck,

is the college area in san diego california a safe place to live?
Hey Jackman,
I am assuming that you mean S.D.S.U. area and not U.C.S.D. or U.S.D. or San Marcos or Point Loma or the two law schools.
I am with jit! North of 8! Also, look into Normal Heights. You are a very quick bus ride away from the center of Campus – No parking hassles and the bus runs until 11:00pm
Stay away from the Montezuma Road area or any area where there are alot of apartments. They always have a ton of Car thefts in those areas.
Also, have you thought of Mission Valley or Mission Gorge? While I find Mission Valley kinda expensive, there are a couple of areas around Mission Gorge that I like (Off of Aero)

how can i get my license to sell flowers?
Carolina,
You haven’t said what quantity. If you are talking about small amounts (Like the ladies that walk along the streets in the Gaslamp or in Old Town) the police or code compliance won’t bother you. Even if they do, then you’ll have to get a business license (Starting at $100) at City Hall (202 W. “C” St) – Even if you are doing small arrangements at your home for offices or weddings.
If you are trying for something larger, you are going to need alot of “infrastructure”, like refrigeration, fresh water, signage…. So if you have a decent supply, you may just want to go the Farmers Market way. You’ll still need a City Permit, and you’ll have to pay a space rent – But you sell everything you’ve got and there is no more overhead.
Also, don’t forget, Kobey’s Swap-meet in Sports Arena area. I am pretty sure that you don’t need a city permit, but if you call them they will have the information that you are looking for.
Good Luck!

1500 a month for rent??
Hey Jeffery,
Yes! Look around the area’s off of Nimitz and Rosecrans. Also, try the area around the sports arena as well as places on Midway.
Try not to look in the Reader or In any other publications or services. They have to pay for those and they just add it into the cost. Drive around and look for “For Rent” signs. You’ll find a much better deal.
If you are not in San Diego, try the free ads on the Union-Tribunes website. They seem to be the best as far as price goes.
Good Luck and let me know if I can help!

Can someone tell me how to make hommus? What ingredients?
Hey Kake,
It’s so simple! (And my favorite)
No. 12 can of Garbanzo beans, Drained
2-3 Oz of Fresh Lemon Juice.
Few Cloves of Garlic, peeled.
3-4 oz. of Tahini paste (Also called Sesame paste)
Olive Oil.
Pepper.
(Paprika and Fresh Parsley to garnish.)
In a food processor (You can use a blender, but it will take a long time. You can use a potato masher too).
Blend the Garbanzo beans with 1/2 the lemon juice and 1/2 the tahini paste and an oz or two of olive oil. TASTE. Add the remaining lemon juice, olive oil, tahini and garlic to taste. Top with pepper, blend and taste again.
Top with additional olive oil, paprika sprinkles and parsley.

This is a version from the Food Network:
HUMMUS by Ina Garten:
4 garlic cloves
2 cups canned chickpeas, drained, liquid reserved
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1/3 cup tahini (sesame paste)
6 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
2 tablespoons water or liquid from the chickpeas
8 dashes hot sauce
Turn on the food processor fitted with the steel blade and drop the garlic down the feed tube; process until it’s minced. Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor and process until the hummus is coarsely pureed. Taste, for seasoning, and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Do you know what this drink is?
Hey Sweetheart,
I think what you meant to put into your question was “Cranberry” before the second Juice word. Everyone keeps on saying that what you have is a screwdriver, I know that you are not so stupid as to not know the name of a screwdriver.
If that is the case, then you have a “Madras”.
If you meant to put the word “Pineapple” before the second Juice word, Then you have a “Bay Breeze”.
Lastly, if you meant to put the word “Grapefruit” before the second Juice word, Then you have a “Sea Breeze”
Please tell all those people that keep on saying “Screwdriver” to back-off!
Hope I helped,

How do I remove a rounded oil pan bolt?
Hey Nate,
I am assuming that you stripped it. Clean it off with degreaser.
Try first to use a Vise-Grip. Sometimes you can get the grips on there and it will come off.
Since it’s a metric bolt – Are you sure that it’s not a hex head on the inside?
Last resort – Tap it out! A tap set is under $10 and you’ll have it out in 10 minutes.

Whats the difference between in a FLAN & a QUICHIE, please?
Hey MAO,
Flour and Sugar!
Both are prepared in a custard like manner. They will both have eggs and milk.
Quiche has the addition of Flour (and anything else you want to add)
Flan has the addition of Sugar (As a Caramel) in the bottom of the custard. When baked, the sugar caramel liquefies and that is the “Sauce” that tops the flan.
And as you know, BOTH ARE REALLY GOOD!

what is franchise?
Hey Aiz,
A Franchise is when you pay a licensing fee to the main company in order for you to open a branch of the same name. It usually means that they will train you in their ways, give you a list of where to get your products from and a basic pricing structure.
Some franchise agreements are very complex (McDonald’s for example) and some are very minimal (An agreement to sell Vienna Hot Dogs at your hot dog stand but still have the sign outside that says Vienna)
Be Careful before your sign any franchise agreement. Talk with other Franchisees (They should give you a list) and make sure a lawyer you trust reviews EVERYTHING!

Hey Forgiven,
I have a so simple recipe.
Take chicken and cover with your favorite salsa.
Put in oven for 30-45 minutes at 400 (f)
When chicken pulls apart, serve with warm tortillas or over rice. (Noodles are also a good substitute for rice, but you can buy one of those 90 second microwave rice bags, like spanish or mexican rice).
It’s quick, easy and healthy.

Should I Only Treat This Area (Picture Included)?
Hey Botkins,
I don’t know if it is a Proactiv thing, but I have noticed that if I fail to treat an area that HAS HAD acne, that I then suffer a breakout.
I would use the Scrub on your entire face and any place else that you have seen acne.
I use the Toner on the area’s that I used the Scrub on.
I ONLY then use the repair on the areas that are subject to CURRENT breakouts.
I only use the mask on the oily area’s and the current acne areas.
I am not the best advert. for Proactive. I don’t always use it twice a day and I forget to use the Mask ALL THE TIME!
I also forget to drink the right amount of water nearly every day! (Water is very important — it makes the oil on your face clog less, because your body is able to sweat more fluids because you are replenishing it).
Hope you have luck!

Immunizations and Antibiotics create the super-strains of tomorrow?
Hey,
Immunizations – Mostly – Are of great benefit to Mankind.
Antibiotics and Antibiotic soaps are something else all together.
A pound of dirt a year… We used to get colds and be around things that weren’t always so good for us. It built up our immune systems. Now we are so germ-aphobic that the smallest things will kill us!
I will use as an example – PB&J. When I was growing up, all the kids had Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches. Now it is illegal in most schools to bring them. They haven’t changed Peanuts! They haven’t changed Jelly and they haven’t changed bread! So what happened?
Lack of exposure! Our bodies don’t recognize those items and suddenly, we have allergies! They’re no different then having super strains of germs and bacteria. It’s not that they are so super, it’s the fact that our own immune systems are not strong enough to battle the invaders WITH THE USE OF ANTI-BIOTICS!
I hoe young parents read this and allow their kids to have fun outside and grow healthy without the use of chemicals!

is soda water fattening?
Hey Blue,
Well, No… If you are getting true carbonated water. If you were in a bar and they served you water from their “Gun” — it would be true carbonated water.
However, If you are getting it from a bottle (probably) then take a look at the ingredient listing. If the words Acid or Sodium are listed then the bottle is artificially carbonated and contains SALT! While that is not fattening, the intake of salt can alter the amount of water that your body retains and will add weight.

rachael ray new show?
Hey Ana,
I happen to like Rachael Ray. I have watched her for many years.
The show, which by the way, is not a Food Network pet project, as someone has mentioned, is produced by HARPO. (That would be Oprah Winfrey).
It was a train wreck. Yes, she went way too fast. Yes, I could barely keep up. Yes, She called herself a Chef (She has always said the she is NOT a chef, just a good “fake-out” cook). Yes, she cut herself twice within 10 minutes (Not the most appetizing thing to have on a cooking show)
BUT,
She is well liked, and like anything else that is done with very little rehearsal, should change over time. Whether that change is good or bad, we’ll soon see. I too wish her luck! She has certainly made cooking, for me at least, a lot more enjoyable and much quicker than it used to be.
And she is entertaining!

how to get rid of air pocket from the chocolate produce from a block chocolate moulding machine.?
Hey Charles,
Sorry, I don’t happen to have all that fancy equipment.
But I do have a Washing Machine…
Whenever I make chocolates, small or large molds — as they are setting, I put them on top of my washing machine and set the machine for spin cycle. It vibrates all of the bubbles out!
The bubbles are caused because when your machine (or for poor folks, like me, my spoon) stir the chocolate to keep from burning, bubbles get trapped into the chocolate. They get smaller as the machine (spoon) stir and break the bubbles. The only way to get rid of bubbles is to vibrate.
Someone says that they use a toothpick. Yes, that works for smaller molds, only if you can see the bubbles. If you can’t get a vibrating plate – Maybe you could get a small personal vibrating pad.
That should get rid of all of your bubbles — or you could borrow my washing machine.
Hope this works for you,

Why do non US athletes or non US Olympians, especially the ones whom won their event/s or other 2 medialists?
Jessica,
Let me ask you a question:
You mention 2 medals, Why? Is one not enough?
I think we should stay away from events that people can make money at. Like Basketball or Baseball – Those participants are in it for the $$$
We remember those that truly love the sport.
We remember Greg Louganis and Mark Spitz, because they were dedicated and true champions.
We remember Nadia Commenici because she beat the odds of a better trained and better funded Japanese team.
But,
Ask any American who won the Gold for Downhill Slalom and they will say “Who Care’s” – Because, we don’t.
Due to the vast amount of sports that we field in the U.S., we jump on the band wagon when we are winning and get off when we are losing. But, compared to other countries, we don’t care.
Unless they are true Champions! Those we love!
when will god show his grace on me?
Hey Sandy,
Sorry, I am not religious. But, I do believe in God! I thought about the “Ask Him” answers – OK! I also thought about the “When u need but least expect” answers – Whatever! “Accept as your Lord and Savior…” If you hadn’t, you wouldn’t be asking.
Since I am not religious, my only logical answer is:
When you wake up in the morning – Breath!, That’s Gods grace.
When you see loved ones – Enjoy that sight, That’s Gods grace.
When you hear a sound you love – Listen!, That’s Gods grace.
When you get home, too tired to move – Relax!, That’s Gods grace.
When you see a picture or hear a story of great suffering – Cry!, That’s Gods grace.
When you read a headline of a known person falling from their own pedestal – Chuckle!, That’s Gods grace.
And
When you can’t figure out why some in the world have so much, yet you have so little; when you don’t know why the rich get richer, yet you seem to struggle week after week; when all of your friends are married and have kids and you are single and alone, Remember, This TOO is God’s grace!
He remembers all of us in his actions, some of us are just stronger than others and can handle adversity better than the rest. He will always answer our prayers – We just forget that sometimes – the answer is, No!
I hope I helped,

Temperatures inside Starbucks stores?
Hey Bird,
While I would like to think that the theory is about loiterers or getting your coffee to cool off and then get you to leave – it’s not that scientific.
Most chains have a recommended temperature for their dining room. It’s typically 72-76 (f). So when they open, the thermostat is either set or the cooling is just turned on (Temp set long ago). To keep us from adjusting the temperature, the thermostat is kept either near the cashier/coffee station or is trapped under a locked plastic cover somewhere higher up in the dining room.
If the Thermostat is near the Coffee Station/Cashier, that is normally the warmest part of the room.
If the Thermostat is under that locked plastic cover, the cover doesn’t get the “Wind Chill” that we get – So it is “Artificially” high.
If we complain to the staff (At any food place, not just Starbucks) they are the ones running around and they look at us the same way that a pet looks at us when we speak to it… Nothings wrong with the temperature…. Now give me some money tips!
Hope this helps,

one can swim in water… By practising gradually in less dense fluids can’t one ultimately swim/fly in air ?
Hey Graju,
Well, it’s a weird theory you have but the ability to swim has nothing to do with it.
And practice…. doesn’t make perfect!
Swimming is only the ability to move the fluid you are in fast enough to keep you buoyant in that density. If you were in a salt lake, you would float without the use of your hands or feet. If you were in lava (if it weren’t hot enough to cremate you) you could be an Olympic swimmer and you wouldn’t last more than a few seconds.
In order to “swim” in air that is the density that your water is in, you would have to move your arms at the same speed and at the same angle and in the same motion of a helicopter.
Thankfully, I won’t see you fly by my house any time soon.

how can i find forclosesure information on a church?
Hey Big,
First… Why?
Most churches have the most unusual zoning rules – they normally can’t be used for anything else.
Second… Why?
If you try to do anything that is not a church – Your neighbors will do everything in their abilities to block you! Churches as neighbors is what nearly everybody wants – More so than condos, restaurants or even another house.
Third… You can always try the city clerk or County Assessor office. They will have any information on unpaid taxes or assessments. Try the County Assessor to find out if there is a mortgage on the property. Contact the mortgage holder to find out if they’re in arrears on their payments — but, keep in mind, they will sell to the highest bidder to cover the loan – they don’t sell to the highest bidder period. If they don’t get enough money to cover the loan, they will close the auction and try to sell through an agent.
I hope the lightning bolts don’t burn you!

Trying to find some fundraisers that don’t involve selling something, like community work with pay to non-prof
Hey Good,
Involve an entire industry! For Many years I was involved with a group called Ordinary Miracles. It started as the Bartenders Holiday Fundraiser about 1997. A bunch of us bartenders got together and decided that on One day during the month of December of that year, we would donate 1/2 of our tips for that shift to a fund. The proceeds of that fund would go to several causes. We got free advertising for our event and that first year raised about $26,000 . We continued this for the next few years, eventually adding servers, hairstylists, Coffee shops and other business. In the last few years there were cruises, silent auctions and comedy shows. The last year that I was involved we raised something like $126,000. The project was the brain child of; Nigel Mayer, Mike Phillips with Fernando Lara and Mike Lunsford.
A fundraiser that I started in Long Beach, CA was known as the Bartenders Pub Crawl – It involved Bartenders going from Bar to Bar, Dressed in Thrift Store clothes, begging for Drinks and Tips that would go to a Holiday Charity. It’s later incarnation is the Annual Red Dress Run. The Red Dress Run is now in 35 cities across the USA.
My favorite was a fundraiser in Los Angeles, CA. We were trying to raise funds during the early AIDS crisis. We were able to secure the use of Harold Lloyds old estate in Hollywood. We had received donations of Fine China, Silver serving platters and Chafing dishes from some of Hollywood’s best hotels and caterers. We had volunteer performers and had received many donated items for a silent auction. We had bartenders selling tickets to this event but realized that we had one problem. We weren’t getting donations for food. So we took our own money and went out and bought Hot Dogs, Tortillas, Nacho Cheese, those stupid little cocktail weenies and a ton of other Finger type foods. We snuck booze into the Estate (we weren’t supposed to because we had no booze permit) – and had a GREAT TIME! That first year we raised $38,000. The event was called “An Affair” – it is now the main fundraiser for One, Inc. in Long Beach.
If you want to know of other fundraisers that don’t involve selling things – contact the Old Mission Bay Athletic Club (OMBAC) These are the fine folks that hold the Over The Line tournament in Mission Beach every summer. They have donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to non-profits around the San Diego area.
Any fundraiser that you endeavor will only succeed if you are willing to have fun with it! If you don’t have fun, nobody else will.
I have done; Variety Shows, All you can eat buffets, Spaghetti Dinners, Paper Christmas Decorations (Like the Shamrocks that you see during St. Patrick’s Day) and something called the Bobby Bodin Memorial Classic – which was nothing more than a White Elephant Auction. Don’t forget about Charity Softball Games, Fake Ballet (with coaches, principals and awkward males, dressed in a tutu) and backyard carnivals.
Something that I’ve always wanted to try would be a Donate your Vacation Pay. Many people don’t take all of their vacation pay and their employers let them store it up. I wanted to do a “Day for the Dogs” or a “Day for the Kids” as fundraisers for animal shelters or for Children’s causes. It works out well because they person donating the vacation pay would get a receipt for the non-profit.
Whatever you do — Make sure that there is no way that you can profit from the fundraiser! I have seen too many fundraisers that the “Chair” took money for gas, mileage, supplies, or other “Reimbursements” that will doom the “Chair” and cause the fundraiser to flop.
Hope that this helps!

Give me an interesting fact about the food and beverage industry, that no one would know?
Hey Ulsun,
Well, You certainly have asked a willie of a question!
The fact that most people wouldn’t know – Many bars do not have screens on their liquor bottles and during the summer months (Or any month in a warmer climate) the more expensive, higher sugar content booze will have dead flies in the booze! Even most nighttime bartenders don’t know this because they never have to strain the bottles – that is done during the daytime hours when the bar is closed!
I have to get rid of some of your wrong answers here!
Onii — Horse meat is not allowed in slaughter houses here in the US! I worked in a packing plant in Los Angeles – We never brought any horse meat in, and we made hamburger patties. When we say 100% beef, IT IS! Although, it may be Cheek Meat, Lips, Head Meat or other forms of Beef that is not considered “Offal”
Green Eye’s:– Make-up and Lip color are not made from dead “Carcass” – they are made from shells of dead insects, like beetles, and shells from sea urchins and scallops.
Margaret: — Shame on you! How dare you! Bad employers treat their employees like sh.t! My advise, try another employer! Most of my servers/bartenders will work a four or five hour shift, clear more than $100 in tips, and do the very minimum in side work. I have on many occasions spent time fixing things that servers didn’t do, after putting in a 12 hour day. The two things that I get that a server/bartender doesn’t “Vacation Pay” and “Health Insurance”. I think on a daily basis that maybe I should trade that all for being able to work just 4 or 5 hours per day. Heck, I could even work another part-time job and make more money! (On salary I barely net over $100 per day).
Just my experience,

Where can I find an inexpensive kegerator.?
Hey Andrew,
I like Buddha Boy’s response. I did something like that years ago.
BUT —
Costco now sells an actual kegerator, everything but the booze and the CO2 for just about $100
Ask a friend to go with you that has a Costco card – or Ask you boss if they have one (Since they own a restaurant they probably do)
I like the set-up from Costco because it’s new and much more energy efficient than the used small fridge thing!
Hope you like!

sugarlesss chocolate?
Hey Ruth,
No need to go the Diabetic route. If you have a name brand or at least a larger drug store or variety store (WalMart or Walgreen’s or Savon or CVS) They will have sugar free Chocolates and Candies in the normal candy aisle.
My favorites are the ones made by Nutri-Sweet, Cadbury and Whitman’s. But they also have lots of others!
The nicest thing is that they are about the same price as regular candy and your mom will see that they say “Sugar Free” on the outside of the package!

Where can I find tooling wax for cnc machine tools? For protection?
Hey Stefani,
While you are driving past Car Repair or Engine Rebuilding places and you see the white Snap-On tool trucks, pull over and ask for the Snap-On guy/gal. They carry it on their trucks and are able to do cash sales. If they don’t have any, they will give you a card and make arrangements to send some to you!

Italian restaurant with real Italian food?
Hey Cabrillo,
I have two favorites:
Volare
3528 Barnett Ave – San Diego – Loma Portal
(Across from MCRD @ Pacific Hwy and Midway)
(619) 224-0030
Poor Service (If Karen is working) – Side salads are nothing more than Iceberg lettuce – Soup is always minestrone that taste like it might be from can…. The place looks like a dive, In & Out!
Sounds Good Huh?
Mama Anna’s entrees are to sing for! Her Piccata’s are light and well balanced! Their Calamari is Juicy! Their Seafood is always delicious! Anna’s Marinara suace is as it should be, light and simple.
The prices can’t be beat!
=o0o=
Arrivederci, Pizzaria
3739 4th Ave
(4th and Robinson – Hillcrest – South of Robinson)
(619) 542-0293
Often Crowded (Especially on the weekends) they have a limited menu of 15 or so pizzas and an entree menu that boasts a total of 7 or 8 entrees. There are numerous salads and appetizers. Everything is very authentic (down to the staff) and I have yet to have a meal that was anything but superb! Far better than their sister restaurant up the street and NONE of the attitude!
Pirces are about $10-15 per person, not including wine.
These are my two favorite true Italitan restaurants in San Diego.

Do any employment laws protect me because I got fired for complaining about management?
Hey Mike,
Well, you certainly have made a mountain out of a part-time job.
First, you didn’t whistle-blow. If they didn’t pay you what you were owed, you need to call your Hour and Labor office in NJ.
Second, You were part-time, so proving any real loss will be very hard. If you were there less than 90 days (most states) you can be let go, Without notice. In many states (like California) the laws are “At Will”, meaning that without a union contract, an employer hires you “At Will” and can let you go at any time, without cause. They would still, as the employer, have to prove cause in court.
Third, You can sue for anything! Its getting a lawyer that will be the hard part. They won’t take your case because your damages will be very small. The legal bills will be a portion of the settlement.
Lastly, It was a part-time job! Get another! What was so special about that job? This is a door opening for a job that might be more to your liking.

In Pa, if I call out of work?
Hey JB,
Yup and Yup
Not only do they have a right, if you say that you are sick, they can ask that you go to a doctor, at your expense and give them an excuse!
Try a Union Job or at least a Government one!

When a banana or other fruit goes off in my kitchen, where do all those little black flies come from?
Hey John,
They come in the same way that you do. Through the door!
Although a few will come in through the window as well.
Occasionally, some fruits will have an infestation that you may bring home from an orchard or Farmers Market. But those you will know as soon as you bite into them — you will see the eggs.
They happen to have better noses than we have and they will find the fruit long before we will notice that it is gone. They will know that a fruit is ready to “go Off” a day or two before and will wait under cabinets and around the house – Patience, Grasshopper!

What is the closest aluminum recycling place near Mission Beach C.A.92109?
Hey George,
If you can’t (or don’t want to ) donate them as the other answerer states, there is a place not that far from where you are.
I don’t know the name, but it is at the Old Town Ave. exit from South 5 freeway (South of the 8 freeway). At the end of the off-ramp, instead of turning left towards Old Town, continue to the right. Just after the stop sign, on the left side of the street (Hancock St., just past Weatherby) is a cash recycling place that takes everything except Newspaper and cardboard.
Hope this helps,

how do you keep your computer from viruses and worms without using an anti-virus software?
Hey Jowie,
Stay off the Internet!
Even the most innocent programs will probe your computer to see what else you are interested in (Spy-Ware).
So if you stay off the Internet, there won’t be such things!
Problem solved!
James in San Diego
p.s. If you are worried about cost, there are FREE Anti-Virus and Firewall Software on the Internet!
how do you copyright a beat is it different from a song?
Hey DBZ,
What are those two smoking?
A beat is a song!
As long as it hasn’t been previously copyrighted before, it’s yours.
Go through either of the two firms (JMI or A.S.C.A.P.). They will charge you money but it’s not much more than what you will pay just to register your copyright with them. You can do it for FREE with the US Copyright office, but you will still have to register with JMI or ASCAP in order to collect royalties. It takes about 4-6 months to get your certificate of copyright.

What do you know about Jack and the actor that appears as Jack in the ‘Jack in the Box ‘ ads?
Hey Girl,
Jack in the Box Corporate office is here in San Diego. They have an office for “Jack”, a reserved parking space for “Jack”, and pictures all around the corporate office of Jack doing “Things” – (Jack in the Boardroom, Jack with the Football Team, Jack teaching how to flip burgers.)
My friends that work at corporate say that all of the TV ads are done from an advertising firm in New York. All of the print ads and picture ads are done at a firm in Los Angeles, so the chance that the same guy that appears in the TV spots and the guy that is in the pix at your local restaurant being one in the same are Nil at best. The Voice over guy is probably the only constant.
My friends couldn’t tell me how much the head weighs, what its made out of or even how big it is. (They did tell me there are “Several” in New York as well as Los Angeles).
The reason the staff is so secretive – “Keeps people asking!”
Makes sense to me!
Hope this helps,
James in San Diego
Are there any airline jobs in north carolina?
Hey T E,
Sorry, No there aren’t!
BUT,
Airlines like Southwest like to recruit from places like North Carolina. You have to live near a hub in order to work for an airline. But places like Southwest figure you will do anything to get out of the “burb” you live in.
Contact them and they will let you know where their next recruiting event is and how you can attend!
Good Luck,

is there a true latino bar in sacramento?
Hey Dog,
My guess is that you’ve not gone further than 30 feet from your front door!
Unless you are looking downtown, all of the surrounding areas have NOTHING BUT Latino bars. When I visited my friends (Latino) there a few years back, I couldn’t stand going out with them. Every bar was that damn loud Ranchero Music on bad speakers with pee all over the men’s bathrooms! I thought I was down in TJ!
A few names that I remember are: Desi’s, Cien Anos and Ortega’s . I am not sure if any of these are still the same name or if they are still in business – but I remember there were far more than those I listed.
Hope I helped,
James in San Diego
